“100% whole cluster, 50% new wood. I was not quite as thrilled as usual by either of the Malconsorts cuvées this year. The ‘regular’ version includes 18 rows of vines on sandier soil at the top of the vineyard. Did these dry out a bit? The 2019 Malconsorts shows dark ripe fruit, with a little bit of oak and a slightly firm dry finish. There is still a lot going on here.
